Claire was trained at the College for Transformational Therapy. She is a member of the Hypnotherapy Association, the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council and NHS Directory for Complementary and Alternative Practitioners and is listed as an approved therapist on their respective registers. Prior to setting up in private practice, Claire worked for many years as a therapist in the NHS, gaining a wealth of experience in helping people cope with stress, anxiety, phobias and depression. Claire now specialises in hypnotherapy.

Claire is client-centred and holistic in her approach, focusing on the whole person. She believes that the mind and body are inextricably linked, with the one affecting the other, and that there is considerable interplay between the emotional and the physical. Using the most up-to-date techniques, including Neuro-Linguistic Programming, she ensures her clients have a positive outcome in the shortest possible time.

Conquering a fear or phobia
I had an overwhelming fear of flying and after actually paying for a flight and arriving at the airport, I couldn’t get on the plane. As a Christmas present I was given a voucher for a hypnotherapy session with Claire. I have never really believed in this sort of therapy but as it was a gift I made the appointment and gave it a try. I had two sessions with Claire which I found very rewarding and empowering. I have managed to overcome my fears and have flown quite happily since and have another flight booked in a few weeks time. My sessions with Claire have shown me that it is my mind that prevents me from doing what I want to do, and that this can be ‘reprogrammed’ to enable me to fulfil my wishes. I have since had a more positive attitude to other stumbling blocks such as weight loss and fear of spiders, having lost 18lbs so far and being able to cope with spiders in a far more rational manner. I would recommend Claire to anyone wanting to overcome the stumbling blocks in their life.
