Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to facilitate change. During hypnosis you relax and
focus inwardly on your thoughts, feelings and imagination. This enables you to
access the subconscious mind to resolve conflicts and make the changes you want.
Your mind will automatically focus on the suggestions that are being put to you
to master a particular problem.
Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness. It is a bit like daydreaming,
for example when you are driving to work and your conscious mind is miles away.
You suddenly arrive at your destination and you have no idea of how you have
got there! You have done the journey so many times that your subconscious has
driven the car!

This shows how resourceful our subconscious mind really is, and
this is what makes hypnotherapy so powerful. Whilst you are in a
pleasant relaxed state you are able to access your conscious mind
and your inner resources so you can resolve conflicts and take control – this
